About Iskander Van Doorne
Iskander Van Doorne is a strength and conditioning coach and former professional soccer player whose work bridges elite performance and long-term athletic development. He brings competitive experience from across Canada, the United States, Germany, and Australia, having played professionally in both Germany and Australia. Prior to his professional career, Iskander competed in NCAA Division III soccer, earning First Team All-American recognition along with multiple All-Conference and All-Region honors. Iskander holds a degree in Sports Management from Calvin University and is a Certified Personal Trainer through ISSA.
His academic background, combined with firsthand exposure to high-performance environments, allows him to blend applied sport science with real-world experience to deliver training that is evidence-informed, practical, and adaptable to the individual. Iskander’s coaching philosophy centers on unlocking the athlete in everyone. While his roots are in professional sport, he believes the principles that drive elite performanceare efficient movement, appropriate loading, and intelligent recovery. These principles are just as valuable for those seeking to move better, feel stronger, and stay healthy for life.
