About Jamie Guislain

Jamie Guislain is a performance coach and hockey development specialist whose work is rooted in long-term athlete development, functional movement, and sustainable performance. A lifelong multi-sport athlete, she has played hockey for over 20 years, competing up to U18 AAA and representing New Brunswick at the provincial level. She currently plays Tier 1 hockey in the Southern Alberta Women’s Hockey Association and serves in her fourth year as Director of Development on the league’s board of directors, supporting one of the largest women’s hockey leagues in North America. Jamie brings extensive coaching experience across the female hockey pathway.

She has spent eight years coaching with Girls Hockey Calgary and currently serves as Head Coach for the U13 AA Fire Red, the highest level of female hockey at that age. Her coaching background also includes work with Hockey Canada’s high-performance stream, the Junior Flames First Stride program through the Flames Foundation, and Team Alberta U15 Females at Junior Nationals. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Health Sciences from St. Francis Xavier University and has over a decade of experience in personal, team, and sport-specific training. Jamie’s coaching philosophy is highly individualized and relationship-driven, emphasizing functional fitness, resilience, and movement quality. Whether developing young athletes or supporting long-term health and longevity, her goal is to help athletes move well, stay healthy, and perform with confidence over time.
